Agdangan,  Quezon, Philippines

Fr Romy, the Agdangan priest celebrated the second mass this morning. I queued up for the holy communion before we headed off for island hopping. Surprisingly, the priest opted not to hand me the “bread of life” after I said  “amen”. He gestured for me to do the traditional by mouth. So I did follow the instruction in silence. But while walking away from the altar, the incident gave a big question mark on my mind. I whispered to myself how come the priest observed holy communion in the hand to the other individuals? Strange. h
